Creative arts can be used as part of the therapeutic process for individuals who have difficulty expressing themselves verbally.  We encourage our clients and residents to explore all of the therapeutic avenues we make available to them here at St. Mary's.  The process of self exploration that our residents and clients have engaged in as therapy have produced works of art that have been recognized by outside groupss.  Leading Age, Art from the Heart, AmidaCare and the Greater New York Hospital Association are some of the organizations that have recognized our  program participants.  Most recently a painting by Josephine J. was selected to appear in the 2017 GYNHA Calendar.  We are proud of Ms. J. for the work she is doing on herself.
