Although we are not immune St. Mary's continues to take aggressive actions to mitigate the negative impact of Coronavirus.

St. Mary's has an aggressive infection Control Policy.

Our first step is to prevent the infection from entering the facility.

We screen everyone who enters the building.

This includes staff and vendors.

Our screening includes checking and recording temperatures.  If anyone has an elevated temperature we do not allow them into the building.

We also screen for coughs and other known symptoms that could be indicative of Covid-19.

Keeping the virus out of the facility includes constant cleaning with specific disinfectants and appropriate managing of the total environment. Everyone in the building, including residents wears a face mask at all times.

At any given time clinical staff wear the PPE that is appropriate depending on their assignment.

In the event of a suspected case of Covid-19 we follow all policies and procedures including isolation, testing and treatment.

Staying Connected

We recognize how important it is for our residents to remain connected to their loved ones even though visitations are not allowed.  St. Mary's provides opportuites for resident's to regularly interface with their families, friends and loved ones through telephone or video.  We are even working on creating a pen pal program with some elementary aged school children to cultivate community connections in spite of social distancing.

ADHC

As of March 17, 2020  St. Mary's ADHC has suspended operations.

Although no clients are allowed onto the premises the staff have decided to provide grab and go meals to the clients to ensure that their daily nutritional needs are partially met by a well balanced meal.

Additionaly, the staff is providing tele conferencing in real time by way of  groups and 1:1 sessions.

We continue to deliver nursing, social work, substance abuse counseling, dietary and psychotherapy services, albeit remotely.

The Staff of St. Mary's intends to help our clients maintain the best wellness during this extraordinary period of time where isolation can be deadly.

Grab & Go Lunch is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11-12:30 or by special arrangement.  Please call 212-665-5992 in advance

The ADHC is open Mondy - Friday 8-4.
